Reports

Advanced Telematics provides robust reporting tools to help you manage and analyse your fleet data effectively. This guide covers various reports available, how to generate them, and how they can benefit your fleet operations.

Types of Reports

  1. Devices Report

    • Monitors the status and performance of various devices in your fleet. It helps in identifying malfunctioning devices for timely maintenance.
    • It includes metrics like Vehicle registration number, Device IMEI number, Last Updated Data Time, Speed, Battery Level, Odometer, Fuel %, Last location address and Subscription Expiration date.
    • Go to the Reports section and click on Devices tab. Select the device number in search window and click on the Show button to display the details. Multiple devices can also be selected for monitoring their status.

  1. Route Report
    • Tracks vehicle routes to optimize travel efficiency and helps in identifying the device parameters in different routes.
    • Provides information like server time, device time, speed, address, and different parameters of the device like satellites, battery, power, ignition status, immobiliser status, odometer, GPS status etc.
    • Select the vehicle from the drop-down list and then select the period for which the report is to be generated. Click on Show button to display the detailed report. Clicking on the row displays the vehicle location on map at that instant.

  1. Events Report

    • Records incidents or specific events during trips. This report is useful for identifying patterns in incidents and improving safety measures.

    • Provides route maps, logs events such as Ignition On/Off, Entering/Exiting Geofence and different types of Alarms like overspeed, hard braking, hard cornering etc.

    • Select the vehicle from the drop-down list and then select the period for which the report is to be generated. Now select the type of event/events from the list and click on Show button to display the details of events. Events Report Description : Image showing Event Report.

  2. Trips Report

    • Summarizes individual trips including key metrics. It assists in analysing trip efficiency and driver behaviour.

    • It displays trip details like Distance, Duration, Start Time, End Time, Max Speed, Spent Fuel, Average Speed, Start Address, End Address with Trip Score.

    • Select the vehicle from the drop-down list and then select the period for which the report is to be generated. Click on Show button to display the trip report. Clicking on the Map symbol in the Map column will display the vehicle position on the map. Trips Report Description : Image showing Trip Report.

  3. Stops Report

    • Provides detailed report of the stops made by the vehicle. It helps in identifying stop patterns and durations of the vehicle stoppages.

    • It includes Stop Locations, Stop Durations, Start and End Times, Engine Hours and Spent Fuel.

    • Select the vehicle from the drop-down list and then select the period for which the report is to be generated. Click on Show button to display the Stops report.   4. Summary Report

    • This report offers a consolidated view of various metrics over a selected period. It helps in evaluating overall fleet performance and making strategic decisions.

    • It summarizes data from other reports, providing an overview of fleet activity. The report includes Start/End dates, Distance covered, Maximum and Average Speed, Odometer Start/End readings, Engine Hours, Spent Fuel and Score.

    • Select the vehicle from the drop-down list and then select the period for which the report is to be generated. Select type of summary like combined summary or daily summary. Click on Show button to display the Summary report. Multiple vehicles can also be selected for comparing the data. Summary  Report Description : Image showing Summary Report.

  1. Combined Report

    • Provides a comprehensive overview by combining multiple report types. It is useful for a holistic analysis of fleet data.

    • It combines metrics from various reports such as Devices, Trips, Events, and more.

    • Select the vehicle from the drop-down list and the valis Group. Click on Show button to display the Combined report. The report displays list of Events with vehicle position on the map. Combined Report Description : Image showing Combined Report.

  2. Chart Report

    • Provided visual representation of data through charts. It helps in easily identifying trends and patterns of different parameters.

    • It includes various charts like speed, fuel consumption, satellites, RSSI, distance travelled, battery value etc.

    • Select the vehicle from the drop-down list and then select the period for which the report is to be generated. Select the Chart Type from the drop-down list. Click on Show button to display the Chart report. Chart Report Description : This image shows the stop report table.

  3. Replay Report

    • Replays the vehicle’s route and activities during a selected period. It is useful for reviewing specific trips in detail.

    • It provides a playback feature for the vehicle’s entire route and events occurred during a selected period of time.

    • Select the vehicle from the drop-down list and then select the period for which the report is to be generated. Click on Show button to display the Replay report.

    • The Replay Report can be customized with the help of toggle options on the settings pop-up on the screen having options like:

      • Show Data Points
      • Show Stops
      • Show Running
      • Show Speed
      • Follow
    • The Replay speed can be set between 1X to 5X.

  1. Timeline Report
    • Displays vehicle movement data chronologically to show vehicle activity over time. Useful for understanding usage patterns and scheduling maintenance.

    • It displays a timeline of vehicle movements and stops where the Green colour represents movements and Red colour represents stops within the selected period.

    • Select the vehicle from the drop-down list and then select the period for which the report is to be generated. Click on Show button to display the Timeline report.

  1. Schedule Report
    • Automates the generation and distribution of reports at set intervals. It ensures regular reporting without manual intervention, aiding consistent monitoring and analysis.

    • It allows setting up of reports to be emailed on the registered Email ID or exported at specified times (daily, weekly, monthly).

    • Follow below steps for scheduling a report

      • Create the report to be scheduled
      • Click on the Schedule button on the top right corner of the screen and select the report format.
      • A pop-up window will open. Enter the schedule name and assign the calendar from the list for a predefined time interval.
      • A schedule can be deleted by clicking at the Delete icon on the Scheduled Reports page.

Step-by-Step Guide: Generating Reports

  1. Select Vehicle(s)

    • Navigate to the report generation page.
    • Choose a vehicle from the list.

  2. Set Date Range

    • Select the desired time period in the dropdown.
    • Tip : Ensure the date range covers the period you want to analyze for accurate data.

  3. Customization Options

    • Apply filters such as specific events, group, or type.
    • Tip : Customize reports to focus on the most relevant data for your analysis.

  4. Display Report

    • Click the “Show” button to display the report.
    • Tip : Review the report summary before downloading or printing.

  5. Schedule Report (Optional)

    • Click the “Schedule” button to set up automated reporting.
    • Choose the report type, frequency (daily, weekly, monthly), and recipient email addresses.
    • Tip : Use scheduled reports for consistent, hands-free monitoring.
